There are millions of pounds of meat being recalled
US authorities have issued a nationwide recall of over 11 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products as a precautionary measure to prevent listeria contamination. The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said it detected listeria during routine testing of finished products containing BrucePac poultry, which a subsequent investigation confirmed as the source.
