Israel warned people to leave as it strikes southern Lebanon

The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on Monday said that it had launched dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles into northern Israel. This comes after Israeli airstrikes on Friday killed a top Hezbollah military commander and more than a dozen fighters, as well as civilians, including women and children. Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service said it treated four people for shrapnel wounds.

A rocket hit a sports complex filled with children playing soccer in Israeli- controlled Golan Heights on Saturday, killing 11 people including children, Israel’s military said. The rocket was launched from a soccer field and caused multiple civilian casualties, including children, it added. “Today a red line was crossed,” it further said, urging Israeli leaders to start targeting top Hezbollah commanders.

Israel’s military spokesman said that the military carried out over 320 strikes on Sunday, with a focus on Hamas headquarters, tunnels and firing positions in Gaza.
