The Israeli military on Sunday recovered the bodies of six people, including a 23-year-old US citizen, held by Hamas since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip. In August, the military had recovered the bodies of six hostages in southern Gaza. Israel has said it believed 108 hostages were still held in Gaza and about one-third of them were dead.

Israel says it saved a hostage in Gaza
Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant said that Israel is “committed to taking advantage of every chance to return the hostages” after the rescue operation. He said that Israel would rely on rescues and negotiations to bring the hostages home. The army launched an overnight raid on the hospital
At least one person was killed and several others were wounded after Israeli troops stormed the Al-Shiwa hospital complex in the Gaza Strip on Monday. “It was a battle for humanity,” a spokesman for the Israel Defence Forces said.
