An ophthalmologist at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London has developed an artificial intelligence (AI) model that predicts what missing portions of retinal photos and scans should look like. Pearse Keane and his colleagues used 1.6 million retinal photos and scans to learn how to predict what missing portions of the images should look like. The model is capable of identifying a person’s characteristics.

US intelligence agencies said they have “high confidence” that a Palestinian rocket was responsible for the explosion at Gaza’s Al-Ahli Arab Hospital last week. They added that they have no Israeli weapon involved. The US officials said that an accurate count of the people who died at the hospital was impossible to obtain because of a lack of independent sources.

US’ California has ordered self-driving car company Cruise to stop operations in the state after a woman was hit and dragged 20 feet by a self-driving car in San Francisco. The woman was hit by a car earlier this month. The state’s Department of Motor Vehicles said it was suspending the vehicles because of safety issues.

An Israeli airshock blast from a Christian-run hospital in the Gaza Strip is unlikely to be seen by a public eye, says Marc Garlasco, a former UN war crimes investigator. The blast took place at around 7 pm local time on Tuesday and was believed to have come from an Israeli missile barrage. Hundreds of Palestinians were sheltering at the hospital.

A group of attorneys general from over 30 states and the District of Columbia have sued Instagram for allegedly creating a “toxic” environment for teenagers. Israel said it will be increasing the number of strikes on Hamas and Hezbollah targets in the Gaza Strip. Israel’s military spokesman said that the military carried out over 320 strikes on Sunday, with a focus on Hamas headquarters, tunnels and firing positions in Gaza. Over 5,000 people have been killed in Israel-Gaza war so far, according to Gaza officials.

Hamas on Sunday denied the New York Times’ request to see any available evidence of the munition it said had struck the hospital, claiming that it had disintegrated beyond recognition. A senior Hamas official in a phone interview said that the missile dissolved like salt in the water. The Times reported that Israeli military said it was investigating the blast.

Israel’s airstrikes have killed dozens of Palestinian militants in the West Bank, an Israeli military spokesperson said on Sunday. The spokesperson also said that Israel is intensifying its bombing campaign in the Gaza Strip as part of the “next stages of the war” against Hamas. At least 90 Palestinians have been killed in clashes with Israeli troops in the past two weeks.
