Researchers have said a study by the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) in 2002 changed how many women and health care providers perceive hormone therapy. The study had shown a drop in prescriptions for menopause-related hormone therapy globally. Globally, prescriptions formenopausal hormone therapy dropped sharply. Researchers said the timing of hormone-therapy initiation is an important issue.

US President Donald Trump signed an emergency order to withdraw from the World Health Organization (WHO) on Monday. In 1948, a joint resolution was passed by both Houses of Congress, stating that US needed to give the WHO one year’s notice if they wanted to withdraw. The emergency order will allow US Agencies to identify energy projects where federal regulations and laws are holding up progress.

Chinese app RedNote has become the number one app on Google Play Store in the US amid reports of TikTok users leaving for the app. The US government is considering a bill to ban the app under a law called the “Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act”. American users have been comparing it to the Chinese app Xiaohongshu.
