A photo of a girl in Gaza goes viral after she died in her roller skates
A Palestinian girl who was killed in an Israeli air strike was covered in pink roller skates, her father said. Tala Abu Ajwa’s photo went viral on social media after it showed her covered in a white shroud. “She’d really wanted me to buy them. I’d tell her ‘when the war is over, we’ll travel outside and God will reward you’,” he added.

Ex-West Bengal cricketer Sourav Ganguly has been handed a 10-year ban by the BCCI for indulging in anti-social behaviour on a cricket field. A student opened fire at a high school in US’ Georgia on Wednesday, killing one teacher and injuring others, local authorities said. The shooter was taken into custody and will be charged with murder, they added. The victim of the shooting is a 58-year-old teacher who was shot in the head, local authorities further said.

The Israeli military on Sunday recovered the bodies of six people, including a 23-year-old US citizen, held by Hamas since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip. In August, the military had recovered the bodies of six hostages in southern Gaza. Israel has said it believed 108 hostages were still held in Gaza and about one-third of them were dead.

He said that Israel would rely on rescues and negotiations to bring the hostages home.
