Israel warned people to leave as it strikes southern Lebanon

An Update on the Nuclear Radio Radio Report from the Hezbollah Detector (NPR) During the First U.S. Warfare

It was the first warning of its kind in more than a year and came after an exchange of fire on Sunday. Hezbollah launched around 150 missiles, drones and rockets into northern Israel in retaliation for strikes that killed a top commander and dozens of fighters.

Is a Hezbollah War Still Dead? The War Between Israel And The Security Forces — An Israeli View from Haifa to Beirut

ARAF: Qassem said they were in shock after the pager attacks. Thousands of pagers exploded at the same time. The next day the walkie-talkie blew up, killing 42 people and injuring 3,500. But he said Hezbollah quickly rebounded and that the attacks failed to turn people against the group. Today’s attacks on Israel were a small part of the revenge Hezbollah was planning. And he said those Israeli attacks were creating the next generation of fighters.

Israel has accused Hezbollah of transforming entire communities in the south into militant bases, with hidden rocket launchers and other infrastructure. Even if no ground forces come in, it could wage a heavy bombing campaign.

There is a Through Interpreter. This nation can’t be defeated. But the United States, America, it is drowned. The aggression with Israel swamped it from top to bottom.

A.rRAF: I think it’s been a crazy few days here. The southern suburbs, where a building was destroyed by an Israeli strike on Friday, had two days of funerals.

On Friday, an Israeli airstrike took down an eight-story building in a densely populated neighborhood in Beirut’s southern suburbs as Hezbollah members were meeting in the basement, according to Israel. Among those killed was Ibrahim Akil, a top Hezbollah official who commanded the group’s special forces unit, known as the Radwan Force.

The Israeli military said it had conducted a series of strikes in southern Lebanon over the course of 24 hours, hitting hundreds of militant sites.

The rockets streaked over a wider and deeper area of northern Israel than previous volleys and set off air raid sirens across the region. The Israeli military said rockets had been fired “toward civilian areas,” pointing to a possible escalation after previous barrages had mainly been aimed at military targets.

Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service said it treated four people for shrapnel wounds, including a 76-year-old man who was moderately wounded near Haifa, where buildings were damaged and cars set on fire. It’s not clear if the damage was caused by a rocket or an Israeli defence system.

The Lebanon-Israel Conflict: Airstrikes, Fires, and Mass Reactions During a High-Energy Air Strike on the Ramat David Air Base

Even though Israel is still fighting Hamas in Gaza and trying to return the hostages that were taken in the attack, the recent strikes and counter-strikes have raised fears of a full-scale war. Hezbollah has vowed to continue its strikes in solidarity with the Palestinians and Hamas, a fellow Iran-backed militant group, while Israel says it is committed to returning calm to the border.

Hundreds of people have been killed and tens of thousands have been displaced during the fighting in Lebanon and Israel. There have been many brush fires that have caused damage to the landscape.

Hezbollah said it had launched dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles — a new type of weapon the group had not used before — at the Ramat David airbase, southeast of Haifa, “in response to the repeated Israeli attacks that targeted various Lebanese regions and led to the fall of many civilian martyrs.”

At least seven woman and three children were killed in the air strike on the building, Lebanon’s health minister said Saturday. He said another 68 people were injured, including 15 who were hospitalized.

The strike was the worst since the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah in 2006 and could make it worse with many people still missing.

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said the attack broke up the group’s chain of command, which he said was responsible for the deaths of Israeli citizens. He had been on the U.S. most wanted list for years, with a $7 million reward, over his alleged role in the 1983 bombing of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut and the taking of American and German hostages in Lebanon during the civil war in the 1980s.

An Israeli airstrike on a Beirut suburb on Friday killed a top Hezbollah military commander and more than a dozen fighters, as well as dozens of civilians, including women and children.

The military said it had targeted more than 150 militant sites early Monday. There are pictures of airstrikes and a large cloud of smoke posted on social media by residents of different villages. The state-run National News Agency also reported airstrikes on different areas.

It was not immediately clear how many people would be affected by the Israeli orders. There have been frequent exchanges of fire on both sides of the border.

Hezbollah militants are being targeted in a “psychosocial war”: Israel’s refusal to press charges against the enemy

“This comes from the framework of psychological war implemented by the enemy and should not be given a more prominent place in the public eye than it deserves,” he said, urging people not to give the matter more attention than it deserves.

The information minister said in his statement that his office received a recorded message that told people to leave the building.

The residents of Lebanon received text messages telling them to leave any building where Hezbollah stores arms.

An Israeli military official said Israel is focused on aerial operations and has no immediate plans for a ground operation. The official said that the strikes are to stop Hezbollah from launching more strikes into Israel.

The National News Agency said that the strikes hit a forested area in the central province of Byblos, for the first time since the exchanges began. There were no injuries reported at that location. A shepherd was killed and two family members were wounded when Israel bombed targets in northeastern Baalbek and Hermel regions. 17 people were wounded in the strikes.

JERUSALEM — The Israeli military on Monday called on residents of southern Lebanon to immediately evacuate homes and other buildings where it claimed Hezbollah stores weapons and said it was carrying out “extensive strikes” against the militant group.

The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on Monday said that it had launched dozens of Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles into northern Israel. This comes after Israeli airstrikes on Friday killed a top Hezbollah military commander and more than a dozen fighters, as well as civilians, including women and children. Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service said it treated four people for shrapnel wounds.
