Trump addresses the apparent assassination attempt for the first time

Donald Trump spoke publicly for the first time about the attempted assassination of the United States Secret Service on a social media platform.
The interview focused on his sons new initiative and meandered to many of Trump’s typical campaign trail talking points.
The Secret Service did a great job protecting him during the incident while he played golf at his course in West Palm Beach, he said. He said he heard four to five gunshots and was whisked away in a golf cart.
In June, Trump had an assassination attempt against him. He said the Sunday attempt was a better one because there was no loss of life or injuries as in June, when one man died and two others were injured.
“And he couldn’t have been nicer,” Trump added of Biden. Trump criticized the policies of the Biden administration, as well as Biden and Vice President Harris, as is common in his campaign appearances.
This comes after Trump blamed the “rhetoric” of Biden and Harris for the apparent attempt on his life in an interview with Fox News. He wrote a post that called Harris “hateful”.

His running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, repeated that on the campaign trail Monday night at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s Georgia Victory dinner in Atlanta.
“No one has tried to kill Kamala Harris in the last couple of months and two people now have tried to kill Donald Trump in the last couple of months,” Vance stated. I agree that that’s very strong evidence that the left needs to cut this nonsense out.
Musk is a big contractor for the US Department of Defense and NASA. The Nationalresponse Office in charge of US spy satellites has a contract with thespacex that is valued at over $1 billion. A $70 million contract was signed by the Space Force with SpaceX to build military-grade satellite capabilities. The Starlink satellite internet wing provides internet to the US Navy.
Both Biden and Harris have released statements condemning the apparent attempt on Trump’s life and political violence more broadly. The White House condemned Musk’s post. The statement says violence should only be condemned and never encouraged. “This rhetoric is irresponsible.”
Michael German, a liberty and national security fellow at NYU School of Law, says that the Secret Service would be very serious about such a comment. “Typically, agents would go out and interview the subject to ensure that there wasn’t an existing threat, and to make the subject aware that the agency takes such statements seriously.”
The U.S. Secret Service wouldn’t comment on Musk’s post. The Secret Service does investigate all threats related to our protectees, according to a spokesman.
