The State of the Union is one of the biggest television audiences the president will have all year. There are a few moments that you might have missed.
Biden said that this was no ordinary moment. He compared the state of the union address to that given by FDR in January 1941, when war raged in Europe and “freedom and democracy were under assault.”
It is critical that the U.S. stands by Ukrainians in their war against Russia, more than two years after the Russian invasion, said Biden. He urged Congress to pass a bipartisan bill to provide aid to Ukraine, which is currently being held up by the Republicans.
